After our teardown and cleaning process, we soda blast all our heads to remove any carbon and debris that get trapped in the combustion chambers, ports, spring pads, and drainback ports. One of the advantages to this process is there is no harm done to the base material and it is completely safe if ANY is left behind. As most shops do, we used with glass bead media for this process and decided to convert our machine to a much safer alternative. We proudly use Armex soda designed specifically for engines. It is 100% safe on the base material and has zero chance of inbedding into bearings causing scoring and premature engine failures that glass bead can cause.
